Caribelle Batik

Batik is an ancient art form that originated in Indonesia. It is a process of fabric design that uses hot wax and colourful dye to create patterns. ‘Belle’ meaning ‘beautiful’ in French, and ‘Carib’, representing the Caribbean region, forms the name Caribelle Batik, founded in 1974.

The creativity, culture, and history of the site here have acquired a positive international reputation making Caribelle one of the Caribbean’s most sought after Batik Products. All our products are inspired by the island of St. Kitts and made with Sea Island Cotton.
